Immigration law.
We guide you through every step.
We know immigration procedures can feel scary: lots of paperwork, short deadlines and a language that is sometimes not your own. That is why we walk you through every step with warmth, from your very first question to filing your application. We are lawyers dedicated to immigration law, and we help you in Spanish, English and Urdu (اردو), at our office and over WhatsApp. We study your situation, explain your options in plain words, and prepare the paperwork together with you. Tell us your case and we will find the best path together.
Area 01
Arraigo (residence through ties to Spain)
Arraigo is a residence permit based on your ties to Spain: your time here, your job, your studies or your family. There are several types (social, sociolaboral, familiar, socioformativo, second-chance arraigo…) and each one has its own requirements. It is not always easy to know which one fits your situation. We study your case, check how long you have been in Spain and what documents you have, and tell you which type of arraigo you can apply for. Then we prepare and file the application together with you, and we follow your file all the way to the decision.

Area 02
Spanish nationality
Obtaining Spanish nationality is a big step. The most common route is through legal and continuous residence in Spain. As a general rule this is 10 years, but the period drops to 5 years for refugees, to 2 years for nationals of Latin American countries, the Philippines, Equatorial Guinea, Andorra, Portugal and for Sephardic Jews, and to 1 year if you are married to a Spanish citizen. We check whether you meet the requirements, help you with the tests (such as the DELE and CCSE exams (the Spanish language and civics exams) when they are needed) and file your application. We also follow up if the answer is slow to arrive.

Area 03
Family reunification (reagrupación familiar)
Family reunification (reagrupación familiar) lets you bring your closest family to Spain: your spouse or partner, your minor children and, in some cases, your parents. To apply you usually need prior residence, suitable housing and sufficient financial means. We know how much it weighs to be far from your loved ones. We check with you whether you meet the conditions, prepare the paperwork for each family member and file the application. We explain each requirement calmly so you always know what is needed and where your case stands.

Area 04
NIE and residence permits
The NIE (Foreigner Identity Number) is your personal number for almost everything in Spain: working, opening a bank account or signing a contract. There are also different residence and work permits depending on your situation. Each one has its own renewal, with deadlines you should not let slip by. We help you apply for or renew your NIE, your card (TIE (the physical foreigner identity card)) and the permit that matches your situation. We prepare the applications, gather the documents and keep an eye on the deadlines so your status stays in order.

Area 05
Appeals and refusals
Having an application refused is not always the end of the road. Many decisions can be appealed, and sometimes a refusal is down to a missing document or a mistake that can be fixed. If you have received a negative decision, we review the reasons and tell you honestly what real options you have. Sometimes you can ask the authorities themselves to review their decision (a recurso de reposición or recurso de alzada (administrative appeals to the same or a higher body)); other times you have to go to court (a recurso contencioso-administrativo (a judicial review of the administrative decision)). The deadlines to appeal are short, so the sooner we look at it, the better.

Frequently asked questions
What is arraigo and what types are there?
Arraigo (residence through ties to Spain) is a residence permit based on your link to Spain: the time you have been here, your job, your studies or your family. There are several types (social, sociolaboral, familiar, socioformativo, second-chance arraigo…) and each one has different requirements. Knowing which one fits your situation is not always simple. We study your case and tell you which type of arraigo you can apply for.
How long does an arraigo application take?
There is no fixed deadline that is the same for everyone. The time depends on the immigration office handling your file, its workload and whether the paperwork is complete. As a rough guide it usually takes several months, but it can vary from one province to another. We cannot promise you a date, but we can prepare your file well from the start to avoid delays caused by mistakes or missing documents.
I am in an irregular situation: is the consultation confidential?
Yes. Professional secrecy obliges us to protect everything you share with us: we do not pass it on or use it against you. This confidentiality obligation covers your immigration status and any immigration proceedings. You can tell us your case with peace of mind, whatever your situation is right now. Only by knowing your real situation can we work out what options you have and how to help you.
Can I work while my application is being processed?
It depends on the type of procedure. Some authorisations allow you to work as soon as they are granted, others include the work permit within the same application, and in certain cases you have to wait for the decision before you can work legally. This is an important point and it is best not to take anything for granted. We review your specific situation and explain clearly when and under what conditions you could work.
What happens if my application is refused?
A refusal does not always close every door. Many decisions can be appealed, and sometimes the problem is a missing document or a mistake that can be fixed. We review the reasons for the refusal and tell you honestly what real options you have: filing an appeal or going to court. The deadlines to appeal are short, so it is important to act quickly.
How do you apply for Spanish nationality by residence?
You apply by proving that you have lived in Spain legally and continuously for the period the law requires. You are usually required to pass the DELE and CCSE exams (the Spanish language and civics exams). We check whether you meet the requirements and prepare your file together with you.
What do I need to bring my family over (reunification)?
For family reunification (reagrupación familiar) you usually need prior residence in Spain, suitable housing for your family and enough financial means to support them. You can bring your spouse or partner, your minor children and, in some cases, your parents. Each family member needs their own paperwork. We check with you whether you meet the conditions and prepare the application, explaining each requirement calmly.
How much are the fees?
It depends on the procedure, because a simple renewal is not the same as a nationality file or an appeal. That is why we do not work with off-the-shelf fixed prices. What we do is give you a fixed, written quote before we start, so you know from the outset what is included and what it costs, with no surprises. Tell us your case and we will study it.
